Today we'll be catching up on the challenges of assessing your own position on graphic design (portrait of who you are as an educator) on teaching and on what's happening in design education today.
IN CLASS ASSIGNMENT
To better understand the lay-of-the-land of design education today, in groups we'll be visualizing the following based on the database on which you've been working the last few weeks.
GROUP 1: Visualize
• How many Programs in Art Schools vs in other Schools
• Program Titles: Graphic vs Visual Communication vs ?
• Other "design" programs on campus that potentially compete with Graphic Design? (If so, what are they?)
